Those Who Said to Perform Sujud Sahw Before Salam
Hadith 4515
٤٥١٥ - حدثنا (أبو بكر) (١) قال: (ثنا) (٢) سفيان (بن عيينة) (٣) عن الزهري عن الأعرج عن (ابن بحينة) (٤) أن النبي ﷺ صلى صلاة نظن أنها العصر فلما كان في ⦗٤٧٧⦘ الثالثة قام قبل أن يجلس فلما كان قبل أن يسلم سجد سجدتين (٥).
Hazrat Ibn Buhaina says that the Holy Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) led us in a prayer, and we think it was the Asr prayer. In the third rak'ah, before sitting, he stood up. Then, before saying the salam, the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) performed two prostrations.
Hadith 4516
٤٥١٦ - حدثنا معتمر عن برد عن مكحول والزهري قالا: سجدتان قبل أن يسلم.
Hazrat Mak'hool and Hazrat Zuhri state that the two prostrations of forgetfulness (sajda-e-sahw) should be performed before the salutation (salaam).
