Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah

Hazrat Safwan bin Muhriz narrates that Hazrat Ash'ari was delivering the Friday sermon to us. During it, he recited the verse of prostration from Surah Al-Hajj, so he descended from the pulpit and performed prostration, then returned to his place.

Hazrat Saeed bin Jubair narrates that the Holy Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) recited the verse of prostration from Surah Sad on the pulpit and then descended and performed prostration.

Hazrat Nu'man bin Bashir recited the verse of prostration from Surah Sad on the pulpit, then descended and performed prostration. Then he returned to his place.

Hazrat Asim narrates that Hazrat Zir recited Surah Al-Inshiqaq on the pulpit and then descended to the ground and performed sajdah (prostration).

Hazrat Urwah narrates that Hazrat Umar recited the verse of prostration on the pulpit and then descended and performed the prostration.

Hazrat Aws bin Bishr says that Hazrat Uqbah bin Amir recited the verse of prostration on the pulpit and then descended and performed the prostration.
