Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah

Hazrat Abdullah did not perform sajdah in Surah Sad and used to say that this is the repentance of a prophet.

Mention was made before Abdullah of the prostration in Surah Sad, so he said: "This is the repentance of a prophet."

Hazrat Sha'bi says that Hazrat Abdullah did not perform sajdah in Surah Sad and used to say that this is the repentance of a prophet.

Hazrat Abu Alia states that some companions used to perform sajdah in Surah Sad and some did not. You may follow whichever of them you wish.

Hazrat Abu Mulaeeh did not perform sajdah in Surah Saad.

Hazrat Abu Ishaq narrates that Hazrat Dahiq bin Qais recited Surah Sad during a sermon and performed sajdah. Hazrat Alqamah and other students of Hazrat Abdullah were standing behind him; they did not perform sajdah.

Hazrat Abu Zuha states that the students of Hazrat Abdullah did not perform sajdah in Surah Sad.
