Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah

Hazrat Yahya bin Jazaar reports that Hazrat Ibn Mas’ud offered prayer and there was a mark of dung and blood on his stomach, but he did not repeat the prayer.

Ibn Sirin states that Yahya later stopped narrating this hadith and did not consider it good (appropriate) to narrate it.

Hasan says that a few splashes of blood do not have enough strength to invalidate a person's prayer.

Hazrat Saeed bin Musayyib considered only that amount of blood to be impure which is equal to the size of a dirham.

Hazrat Sha’bah says that I asked Hazrat Hakam and Hazrat Hammad about the impure amount of blood. Hazrat Hakam said: when it is equal to one dirham. Hazrat Hammad first said: when it is equal to one mithqal, then said: when it is equal to one dirham.

Hazrat Abu Rabi' says that I have seen Hazrat Mujahid in such clothes that had blood on them, in which he had prayed for several days.

Hazrat Sha'bi, regarding the person who offered prayer in blood-stained clothes, states that he will not repeat that prayer.

Hazrat Asim says that I saw Abu Wa'il praying in such a state that there were drops of blood on his clothes.

Hazrat Zuhri says that when the blood stain is equal to a dirham, one should repeat the prayer.

Ibrahim used to say that if there is a stain of blood on the clothes equal to a dinar or dirham, the prayer should be repeated.

Hazrat Husain says that I asked Ibrahim, "If a person sees a blood stain on his clothes during prayer, what should he do?" He replied, "If the blood is excessive, he should remove his garment, and if it is little, he should continue praying."

Hazrat Asim says that I asked Abu Qalabah, "If after performing prayer I see a bloodstain on my clothes, what should I do?" He replied, "Wash it off and perform the prayer again."

Ibrahim, regarding the person who sees a blood stain on his clothes after finishing the prayer, says that he will not repeat the prayer.

Hasan says that if after performing prayer you see a blood stain on your clothes, do not repeat the prayer; your prayer is valid.

Hazrat Hisham states that it was not Hazrat Ata's opinion that the prayer should be repeated upon seeing a stain of semen or blood on the garment.

Hazrat Hakam, regarding the person who offers prayer and there is a blood stain on his clothes, states that if it is in a large amount, he should repeat the prayer, and if it is in a small amount, he does not need to repeat it.

Hazrat Abu Ishaq says that I saw Hazrat Ata offering prayer while there was blood the size of a palm on his clothes.
