Those Who Say That If One Laughs in Salah, Both Wudu and Salah Must Be Repeated
Hadith 3959
٣٩٥٩ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: (حدثنا) (١) شريك عن أبي هاشم عن أبي العالية قال: كان رسول اللَّه ﷺ يصلي بأصحابه، فجاء رجل ضرير البصر فوقع في بئر في المسجد، فضحك بعض أصحابه، فلما انصرف أمر من ضحك أن يعيد الوضوء والصلاة (٢).
Hazrat Abu Alia narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) was leading his companions in prayer when a blind man came and fell into the well of the mosque. At this, some people began to laugh. When the Prophet finished the prayer, he ordered them to perform ablution again and repeat the prayer.
Hadith 3960
٣٩٦٠ - حدثنا أبو خالد عن أشعث عن عامر (قال: هي) (١) فتنة، يعيد الوضوء والصلاة.
Hazrat Aamir says that this is a tribulation; ablution and prayer will be repeated.
Hadith 3961
٣٩٦١ - حدثنا أسباط بن محمد عن مغيرة (عن) (١) إبراهيم قال: إذا ضحك الرجل في الصلاة أعاد الوضوء والصلاة.
Ibrahim says that when a person laughs during prayer, he should repeat both his ablution and his prayer. Hazrat Abu Bakr says that he should repeat the prayer but not the ablution.
