من كان يقول: (يسبح) في الأخريين ولا (يقرأ)
Those who say in the last rak‘ahs only tasbih should be recited, not Quran
Hadith 3781
٣٧٨١ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: (نا) (١) شريك عن أبي إسحاق عن علي وعبد اللَّه أنهما قالا: اقرأ (٢) في الأوليين (٣) وسبّح في الأخريين (٤) (٥).
Hazrat Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) and Hazrat Abdullah used to say that in the first two rak'ahs, recite (Qur'an), and in the last two rak'ahs, recite tasbih.
Hadith 3782
٣٧٨٢ - حدثنا (أبو الأحوص) (١) عن أبي إسحاق عن الحارث عن علي أنه قال: يقرأ في (الأوليين) (٢) ويسبح في (الأخريين) (٣) (٤).
Hazrat Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) said that recitation should be done in the first two rak'ahs and tasbih should be recited in the last two rak'ahs.
Hadith 3783
٣٧٨٣ - حدثنا جرير عن منصور قال: قلت لإبراهيم: ما تفعل في الركعتين ⦗٣٢٣⦘ الأخريين من (الصلاة) (١)؟ قال: (أسبح) (٢) وأحمد اللَّه وأكبر (٣).
Hazrat Mansoor says that I asked Ibrahim what should be done in the last two rak'ahs of prayer? He replied that glorify Allah, praise Him, and say Allahu Akbar.
Hadith 3784
٣٧٨٤ - حدثنا ابن إدريس عن الحسن بن عبيد اللَّه عن إبراهيم قال: سبح في الأخريين (١) وكبر.
Ibrahim says that in the last two rak‘ahs, recite tasbih and takbir.
Hadith 3785
٣٧٨٥ - حدثنا حفص بن غياث عن حجاج عن (ابن) (١) الأسود قال: (يقرأ) (٢) في الركعتين الأوليين بـ: فاتحة الكتاب وسورة، وفي (الأخريين) (٣) يسبح ويكبر.
Hazrat Ibn al-Aswad says that in the first two rak‘ahs, recite Surah al-Fatihah and any other surah, and in the last two rak‘ahs, say tasbih and takbir.
Hadith 3786
٣٧٨٦ - حدثنا وكيع عن سفيان عن أبي إسحاق عن الحارث عن علي قال: يسبح ويكبر في (الأخريين) (١) تسبيحتين (٢).
Hazrat Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) said that in the last two rak'ahs, recite tasbih and takbir twice.
