من قال: إذا كنت في سفر (فقلت): أزالت الشمس أم لا؟
If you are traveling and are unsure whether the sun has declined, what should you do?
Hadith 3554
٣٥٥٤ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: حدثنا جرير عن (مسحاج) (١) بن موسى ⦗٢٧١⦘ (الضبي) (٢) قال: سمعت أنس بن مالك يقول لمحمد بن عمرو: إذا كنت في سفر فقلت: أزالت الشمس أو لم تزل، أو انتصف النهار أو لم ينتصف، فصل قبل أن ترتحل (٣).
Hazrat Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated from Hazrat Muhammad bin Amr that when you are on a journey and you are in doubt whether the sun has declined or not, or whether half the day has passed or not, then perform the Zuhr prayer before setting out.
Hadith 3555
٣٥٥٥ - حدثنا جرير عن منصور عن الحكم قال: إذا كنت في سفر فقلت: أزالت الشمس (أو) (١) لم تزل، (فصل) (٢).
Hazrat Hakam says that when you are on a journey and you are in doubt whether the sun has declined or not, then perform the prayer.
Hadith 3556
٣٥٥٦ - حدثنا وكيع عن شعبة عن حمزة الضبي قال: سمعت أنسا يقول: كان نبي اللَّه ﷺ إذا نزل منزلا لم يرتحل حتى يصلي الظهر. فقال له محمد بن عمرو: وإن كان نصف النهار؟ (قال: وإن كان نصف النهار) (١) (٢).
Hazrat Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that whenever the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) stayed at a place, he would not depart from there until he had performed the Zuhr prayer. Upon hearing this, Muhammad bin Amr asked, "Even if only half the day had passed?" He replied, "Yes, even if only half the day had passed."
