ما يقول الرجل إذا دخل المسجد، وما يقول إذا خرج
What should one say when entering and leaving the mosque?
Hadith 3447
٣٤٤٧ - حدثنا (١) ابن علية وأبو معاوية عن ليث عن عبد اللَّه بن الحسن عن أمه ⦗٢٤٤⦘ (عن) (٢) فاطمة (بنت) (٣) رسول اللَّه ﷺ قالت: كان رسول اللَّه ﷺ إذا دخل المسجد (يقول) (٤): "بِسْمِ اللَّهِ، وَالسَّلَامُ (٥) عَلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ، الَّلهُمَّ اغْفِرْ لِي ذُنُوبِي، وَافْتَحْ لِي أَبوَابَ رَحْمَتِكَ. وإِذا خرج قال: بِسْمِ اللَّهِ، وَالسَّلَامُ عَلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ، اللَّهُمَّ اغْفرْ لِي ذُنُوبي، وَافْتَحْ لِي أبْوَابَ فَضْلِكَ" (٦).
Hazrat Fatimah, daughter of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), narrates that when the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) would enter the mosque, he used to say these words: In the name of Allah, and peace be upon the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him). O Allah! Forgive my sins and open for me the doors of Your mercy. When he would leave the mosque, he used to say these words: In the name of Allah, peace be upon the Messenger of Allah. O Allah! Forgive my sins and open for me the doors of Your bounty.
Hadith 3448
٣٤٤٨ - حدثنا وكيع عن عبد اللَّه بن سعيد عن عمرو بن (أبي) (١) عمرو المديني عن المطلب بن (عبد اللَّه) (٢) (بن) (٣) حنطب: أن النبي ﷺ كان إذا دخل المسجد قال: "اللَّهُمَّ افْتَحْ لِي أبْوَابَ رَحْمَتِكَ، وَيَسِّرْ لِي أبْوَابَ رِزْقِكَ" (٤).
Hazrat Mutlib bin Abdullah bin Hantab narrates that when the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) would enter the mosque, he would say these words: O Allah! Open the doors of Your mercy for me and expand the doors of Your sustenance for me.
Hadith 3449
٣٤٤٩ - حدثنا أبو معاوية عن عبد الرحمن بن إسحاق عن النعمان بن سعد عن علي قال: (كان) (١) إذا دخل المسجد قال: "اللَّهُمَّ اغْفِرْ لِي ذُنُوبِي، وَافْتَحْ لِي أبْوَابَ رَحْمَتِكَ". وإذا خرج قال: "اللَّهُمَّ اغْفِرْ لِي ذُنُوبِي، وَافْتَح لِي أَبْوابَ فَضْلِكْ" (٢).
Hazrat Nu’man bin Sa’d says that when Hazrat Ali used to enter the mosque, he would say: O Allah! Forgive my sins and open for me the doors of Your mercy. And when he would leave the mosque, he would say: O Allah! Forgive my sins and open for me the doors of Your bounty.
Hadith 3450
٣٤٥٠ - حدثنا أبو خالد الأحمر عن ابن عجلان عن سعيد بن (أبي) (١) سعيد عن أبي هريرة قال: قال لي كعب بن عجرة إذا دخلت المسجد فسلم على النبي ﷺ وقل: اللهم افتح لي أبواب رحمتك، وإذا خرجتما فسلم على النبي ﷺ وقل: اللهم احفظني من الشيطان (٢).
Hazrat Abu Huraira narrates that Hazrat Ka'b bin Ujrah said to me: When you enter the mosque, send salutations upon the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and then say: O Allah! Open for me the doors of Your mercy. And when you leave the mosque, send salutations upon the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and say these words: O Allah! Protect me from Satan.
Hadith 3451
٣٤٥١ - حدثنا أبو عامر العقدي عن علي بن المبارك عن يحيى بن أبي كثير عن محمد بن عبد الرحمن: أن عبد اللَّه بن سلام كان إذا دخل المسجد سلم على النبي ﷺ وقال: اللهم افتح لي أبواب رحمتك. وإذا خرج سلم على النبي ﷺ وتعوذ من الشيطان (١) (٢).
Hazrat Muhammad bin Abdur Rahman narrates that when Hazrat Abdullah bin Salam would enter the mosque, he would send salutations upon the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and say: O Allah! Open the doors of Your mercy for me. And when he would leave the mosque, he would send salutations upon the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and seek refuge from Satan.
Hadith 3452
٣٤٥٢ - حدثنا وكيع عن سفيان عن أبي إسحاق عن (سعيد) (١) بن (ذي) (٢) حدان (٣) عن علقمة: أنه كان إذا دخل المسجد قال: السلام عليك أيها النبي ورحمة اللَّه وبركاته صلى اللَّه وملائكته على محمد (٤).
Hazrat Saeed bin Zee Hadan says that when Hazrat Alqamah would enter the mosque, he would say: O Prophet! Peace, Allah's mercy, and blessings be upon you. May Allah and His angels send blessings upon Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him).
Hadith 3453
٣٤٥٣ - حدثنا أبو معاوية عن الأعمش عن (إبراهيم) (١): كان إذا دخل المسجد ⦗٢٤٦⦘ قال: بسم (اللَّه) (٢) و (السلام) (٣) على رسول اللَّه، وإذا (دخل) (٤) بيتا ليس فيه أحد قال: السلام عليكم (٥).
Hazrat A'mash says that when Ibrahim would enter the mosque, he would say: In the name of Allah, peace be upon the Messenger of Allah. And when he would enter a house in which there was no one, he used to say: Peace be upon you.
