Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah

Hazrat Abu Al-Ahwas narrates that when Hazrat Abdullah completed the prayer, he would quickly change his posture; either he would stand up or turn his face away from the Qiblah.

Hazrat Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates that when the Imam says salam, then stand up. In the narration of Hazrat Khalid, it is stated that when he turns his face away from the Qiblah.

Hazrat Abu Razin says that I offered prayer behind Hazrat Ali (may Allah be pleased with him); he turned his face to the right and to the left while saying salam, and then quickly returned to his usual state.

Hazrat Umar says that for the Imam to sit after the Salam is an innovation (bid'ah).

Hazrat Abu Husain narrates that when Hazrat Abu Ubaidah bin Jarrah would finish the salam, he would get up so quickly as if he were sitting on a hot stone.

Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used to sit for as long after concluding the prayer with salam as it would take to say these words: O Allah! You are Peace, and from You comes peace, You are blessed, O Possessor of majesty and honor.

Hazrat Ibn Mas'ud narrates that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used to sit for as long after concluding the prayer as it would take to say these words: O Allah! You are Peace, and from You comes peace. You are blessed, O Possessor of majesty and honor.

Hazrat Saeed bin Jubair said that we had an imam (then he mentioned his virtues and said) when he finished the salam, he would move forward.

Hazrat Abu Majliz says that after every obligatory prayer which is followed by optional (nafl) prayers, turn your face away from the qiblah immediately after completing the obligatory prayer. However, there is no need to do so after Fajr and Asr.

Hazrat Mujahid says that after offering the Maghrib prayer, immediately turn your face away from the Qiblah.

Hazrat Rabi’ says that when Hasan would finish the salam, he would quickly turn his face away from the qiblah or stand up swiftly.

Hazrat Ibn Tawoos says that Hazrat Tawoos, as soon as he finished the salam, would stand up as if he had not been sitting at all.

Hazrat A’mash says that as soon as Ibrahim would finish the salam, he would turn his face away from the qiblah and face towards the people.

Hazrat Yazid bin Aswad Amiri says that I offered the Fajr prayer behind the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), and as soon as he finished the prayer with salam, he turned his face away from the qiblah.

Hazrat Tariq bin Shihab narrates that as soon as Hazrat Ali finished the salam, he turned his face towards the people.
