Those who do not consider it necessary to place the nose on the ground in sujud
Hadith 2722
٢٧٢٢ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: نا إسماعيل بن عياش عن عبد العزيز بن عبيد اللَّه قال: قلت لوهب بن كيسان: يا أبا نعيم مالك لا تمكن جبهتك وأنفك من الأرض؟ قال: ذلك أني سمعت جابر بن عبد اللَّه يقول: رأيت رسول اللَّه ﷺ يسجد في أعلى جبهته على قصاص الشعر (١).
Hazrat Abdul Aziz bin Ubaidullah says that I said to Wahb bin Kaisan, "O Abu Naeem! What is the matter, why do you not place your forehead and nose on the ground?" He replied, "I heard Hazrat Jabir bin Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) say that I saw the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) prostrate at the place on his forehead where the hair grows."
Hadith 2723
٢٧٢٣ - حدثنا هشيم عن منصور عن الحسن قال: إن شئت فاسجد على أنفك، وإن شئت فلا تفعل.
Hasan says that if you wish, you may prostrate on your nose, and if you wish, you may not do so.
Hadith 2724
٢٧٢٤ - حدثنا معن عن خالد بن أبي بكر قال: رأيت القاسم وسالما يسجدان على جباههما، ولا تمس الأرض أنوفهما.
Hazrat Khalid bin Abi Bakr says that I saw Hazrat Qasim and Hazrat Salim prostrating on their foreheads, and their noses would not touch the ground.
Hadith 2725
٢٧٢٥ - حدثنا وكيع عن إسرائيل عن جابر عن عامر في رجل لم يسجد على أنفه قال: يجزئه.
Hazrat Aamir, regarding the person whose nose does not touch the ground during prostration, states that doing so is also permissible.
Hadith 2726
٢٧٢٦ - حدثنا وكيع عن سفيان عن جابر عن عامر قال: لا (يضره) (١).
Hazrat Aamir says that there is no harm in it.
