Those who consider ruku before joining the row to be disliked
Hadith 2656
٢٦٥٦ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال: نا أبو خالد الأحمر عن محمد بن عجلان عن الأعرج عن أبي هريرة قال: لا تكبر حتى تأخذ مقامك من الصف (١).
Hazrat Abu Huraira says that do not say the Takbeer until you join the row.
Hadith 2657
٢٦٥٧ - حدثنا معتمر عن أبي المعلى قال: سئل الحسن عن الرجل يركع قبل أن يصل إلى الصف فقال: لا يركع.
Hasan was asked about the person who performs rukū‘ before joining the row. He replied that he should not perform rukū‘.
Hadith 2658
٢٦٥٨ - حدثنا جرير عن مغيرة قال: قلت لإبراهيم: إذا دخلت المسجد والإمام راكع أركع قبل أن أنتهي إلى الصف؟ قال: أثبت لا تفعل ذلك.
Hazrat Mughira says that I asked Ibrahim, "When I enter the mosque and the Imam is in the state of bowing (ruku'), can I perform ruku' without joining the row (saff)?" He replied, "You should not do so."
Hadith 2659
٢٦٥٩ - حدثنا يحيى بن سعيد عن محمد بن عجلان عن الأعرج عن أبي هريرة قال: إذا دخلت (١) والإمام راكع فلا تركع حتى تأخذ مقامك من الصف (٢).
Hazrat Abu Hurairah says that when you enter the mosque and the Imam is in the state of bowing (ruku‘), do not say the takbeer until you join the row. Hazrat Abu Bakr says that if there is another person with him, he may perform ruku‘ before joining the row, but if he is alone, he should not perform ruku‘.
