Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah

Hazrat Yahya bin Abbad narrates that Hazrat Abu Darda came out of the mosque, urinated, then returned to the mosque and engaged in conversation with his companions, and did not touch water with his hand.

Hazrat Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) urinated and entered the mosque without performing ablution.

Hazrat Saeed bin Jubair says that there is no harm in entering the mosque without ablution.

Hazrat Ibn Aun states that Hazrat Abu Sawar considered it undesirable to sit in the mosque without ablution.

Hazrat Khalid says that Hazrat Abu Dahi used to urinate and then come to the congregational mosque and talk to us.

Hazrat Qatadah says that Hazrat Jabir bin Zaid used to come to the mosque in the state of hadath and would sit in the mosque without performing ablution.

Hazrat Saeed bin Musayyib and Hasan say regarding a person in a state of hadath that he may pass through the mosque but may not sit.

Hazrat Ata says that there is no harm in sitting in the mosque without ablution.

Hazrat Sha’bah says that I asked Hazrat Hakam about the person who sits in the mosque without ablution. He replied, “I am in that very state right now.”

Hazrat Saeed narrates that I saw Hazrat Ibn Sirin return from relieving himself and sit in the mosque in such a way that he stretched his legs out.

Hazrat Nazzal Asri narrates that I saw Khalid Abu Sulaiman; he urinated and then sat in the mosque of Banu Asr.
