Hazrat Zaid bin Khalid says that I asked five companions, and all of them said the same: "Water for water." Among them was Hazrat Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) as well.

Hazrat Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with both of them) says: "Water for water."

Hazrat Abdullah says that water is (exchanged) for water.

Hazrat Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them) says that water is for water.

Hazrat Abu Saeed narrates that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was passing by the house of an Ansari and sent a message to call him. When he came, water was dripping from his head. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "Perhaps we called you in haste." He replied, "Yes." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "If you have intercourse but there is no ejaculation, then only ablution (wudu) is required, not a full bath (ghusl)."

Hazrat Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) was asked about intercourse in which there is no ejaculation: is ghusl (ritual bath) obligatory or not? He replied, "Ghusl is not obligatory." Someone asked, "Even if the man moves upon the woman?" He replied, "No, even if her earrings are shaken, still not."

The mother of the children of Hazrat Sa’d bin Abi Waqqas says that Hazrat Sa’d would come to me, and if he did not ejaculate, he would not perform ghusl.

Hazrat Ubayy bin Ka'b narrates that the Prophet said: Ghusl is not obligatory for intercourse without ejaculation; rather, only wudu is obligatory.

Hazrat Zaid bin Khalid asked Hazrat Usman that if a man has intercourse with his wife but does not ejaculate, what should he do? Hazrat Usman replied that he should perform ablution as for prayer and wash his private part. Hazrat Usman said that I have heard the same from the Prophet. Hazrat Zaid bin Khalid says that I asked the same question to Hazrat Ali, Hazrat Zubair, Hazrat Talha, and Hazrat Ubayy bin Ka'b, and all gave the same answer.
