Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah

Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates that sometimes I used to see semen on the clothes of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), so I would scrape it off.

Ibrahim narrates that Hammam once visited Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) as a guest. Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) ordered that a yellow sheet be given to him. Hammam experienced a wet dream in it. He felt embarrassed to return the cloth with traces of the wet dream. So he dipped the cloth in water and returned it. Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) saw the cloth and said, "Why did he spoil our cloth? It would have been sufficient for him to scrape it off; I too sometimes used to scrape it off from the clothes of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him)."

Hazrat Mujahid says that once we were with Hazrat Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them). After performing the prayer, he began to rub his garment. Then he said that last night I was searching for it but I could not find it. Hazrat Mujahid says that in my opinion, it was semen.

Hazrat Abu Malik Ashja'i says that I asked Hazrat Sha'bi, "If I see a trace of semen in the morning, what should I do?" He replied, "Rub it and brush it off." I asked, "Should I wash it?" He replied, "Washing it will increase its odor." Hazrat Abu Malik says, "In my opinion, if it had been wet, he would have instructed to wash it."

Hazrat Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with both of them) said: Clean semen with Izkhir (a type of fragrant grass).

Hazrat Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) regarding semen on clothes says that it is like saliva; clean it with a cloth or with izkhir (a type of grass).

Hazrat Ibn al-Hanafiyyah says that if it is dry, then scrape it off.

Hazrat Mujahid says regarding semen on clothes that wash it off or clean it with izkhar (a type of grass).

Hazrat Jubair bin Nafeer sent someone to Hazrat Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) to ask whether a person can recite the Holy Qur'an on a cloth on which he has had intercourse with his wife. She replied: What is the hindrance in that? If there is something (impurity), then wash it, and if you wish, scrape it off, and if you are in doubt, sprinkle water on it.

A man asked Hazrat Umar, "I had a wet dream on my clothes, what should I do now?" He replied, "If it is wet, then wash it; if it is dry, then scrape it off; and if the stain becomes invisible, then sprinkle water over it."
