Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah

Hazrat Jameel bin Zaid narrates that I saw Hazrat Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them) rinsing his mouth and putting water into his nose with a single handful.

Hazrat Abd Khair narrates that once Hazrat Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) performed ablution, and with one handful of water, he rinsed his mouth three times and cleaned his nose three times. Then he said, "The ablution of your Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was like this."

Hazrat Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with both of them) narrates that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) took water once during ablution and with the same water performed rinsing of the mouth and cleaned the nose.

Hazrat Rashid bin Ma’bad says that I saw Hazrat Anas rinsing his mouth and putting water into his nose with a handful of water.

Ibn Aun states that Muhammad would rinse his mouth and clean his nose each time with the same handful of water.

Ibrahim Taimi used to rinse his mouth and clean his nose with a handful (of water).

Hazrat Ja'far bin Maimoon used to rinse his mouth and clean his nose with a single handful of water.

Muhammad used to rinse his mouth and clean his nose with a single handful of water.
