Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah

Hazrat Abdullah bin Masood (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that on the night of the Jinn, the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said to me, "Do you have water for ablution?" I replied, "I have nothing except a vessel containing nabidh." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "Dates are pure and their water is pure."

Hazrat Harith says that Hazrat Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) did not consider there to be any objection in performing ablution with nabidh.

Hazrat Ikrimah says that if a person does not have water for ablution, he should perform ablution with nabidh.

Hazrat Abu Alia disliked the idea of performing ghusl with nabidh.
