Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah

Hazrat Bilal narrates that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) wiped (performed masah) over the leather socks and the turban.

Hazrat Abdur Rahman bin Asilah narrates that I saw Abu Bakr wiping over his turban.

Hazrat Ash'ath narrates from his father that Hazrat Abu Musa came out of the toilet and wiped over his cap during ablution.

Hazrat Abu Ghalib says that I saw Hazrat Abu Umamah wiping over the turban.

Hasan's mother narrates that Hazrat Umm Salamah (may Allah be pleased with her) used to wipe over her scarf.

Hazrat Asim says that I saw Hazrat Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) wiping over his leather socks and turban.

Hazrat Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) says that if you wish, you may wipe over the turban, and if you wish, you may remove it and wipe (over the head).

Hazrat Nabatah says that I asked Hazrat Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) about wiping over the turban, so he replied: If you wish, you may wipe over the turban, and if you wish, you may remove it and wipe over the head.

Hazrat Tariq says that I saw Hazrat Hakeem bin Jabir wiping over his turban.

Hazrat Abu Muslim says that once I was with Hazrat Salman. He saw a man who had taken off his socks for ablution. Hazrat Salman said to him, "Wipe over your socks, your turban, and your forehead, because I have seen the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) wiping over his socks and turban."

Hazrat Mughirah bin Shu'bah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) wiped the front part of his blessed head and also wiped over the turban.

Hazrat Amr bin Umayyah Damri narrates that I saw the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) performing masah (wiping) over his leather socks and turban.
