Hazrat Hassan bin Bilal says that I saw Hazrat Ammar bin Yasir (may Allah be pleased with him) passing his fingers through his beard during ablution, so I asked him the reason for this. He replied that I saw the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) doing the same.

Hazrat Abu Hamza says that Hazrat Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them) used to pass his fingers through his beard during ablution.

Hazrat Nafi' says that Hazrat Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them) used to do khilal (pass fingers through) of the beard during ablution.

Hazrat Abu Ma'n says that Hazrat Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) used to pass his fingers through his beard during ablution.

It is narrated from another chain that Hazrat Nafi' said that Hazrat Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them) used to run his fingers through his beard during ablution.

Hazrat Abu Ishaq says that Hazrat Saeed bin Jubair (may Allah be pleased with him) used to pass his fingers through his beard during ablution.

Hazrat Azraq bin Qais says that Hazrat Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them) used to do khilal (pass fingers through) of the beard during ablution.

Hazrat Nadr bin Ma'bad says that Hazrat Abu Qilabah used to pass his fingers through his beard during ablution.

Hazrat Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used to pass his fingers through his beard during ablution.

Hazrat Hakam states that Hazrat Mujahid used to perform khilal (passing fingers through) of the beard during ablution.

Hazrat Khalid bin Dinar says that Hazrat Ibn Sirin used to pass his fingers through his beard during ablution.

Hazrat Hisham says that Ibn Sirin used to comb his beard with his fingers.

Hazrat Zubair bin Adi narrates that Hazrat Dahhak used to pass his fingers through his beard.

Hazrat Abu Asim narrates that Hazrat Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) passed by a man and instructed him to comb through his beard.

Hazrat Abu Ghalib says that I requested Hazrat Abu Umamah (may Allah be pleased with him) to teach me the ablution (wudu) of the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). He performed ablution three times, did khilal (passing fingers) of the beard, and said: "I saw the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) performing ablution in this manner."

Hazrat Abu Wa'il narrates that I saw Hazrat Uthman (may Allah be pleased with him) performing ablution, in which he passed his fingers through his beard three times. Then he said that I saw the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) doing it in the same way.

Hazrat Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Jibreel came to me and said to me that when you perform ablution, also pass your fingers through your beard."

The statement of Hazrat Nafi' is narrated through another chain that Hazrat Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them) used to perform khilal (passing fingers through) of the beard.

Hazrat Abu Al-Haitham says that Ibrahim performed khilal (passing fingers through) of the beard during ablution.
