Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah

Hazrat Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used to recite this supplication before entering the toilet: "I seek refuge with Allah from male and female devils."

It is narrated from Hazrat Zaid bin Arqam (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The insects of the earth are present here and there, so when any of you is about to enter the toilet, he should recite this supplication: 'O Allah! I seek refuge with You from male and female devils.'"

Hazrat Abdullah bin Masood (may Allah be pleased with him) says that when any of you enters the toilet and is about to uncover himself, he should recite this supplication: "O Allah! I seek refuge in You from filth and impurity, male and female devils, and the accursed Satan."

Hazrat Dhahhak narrates that when Hazrat Hudhaifah (may Allah be pleased with him) would enter the toilet, he would recite this supplication: "I seek refuge with Allah from filth and impurity, from the evil-natured and those who teach evil-naturedness, and from the accursed devil."

Hazrat Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that when the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) would enter the toilet, he would recite this supplication: "In the name of Allah, O Allah! I seek refuge with You from male and female devils."

Hazrat Dhahhak bin Muzahim says that when you wish to enter the toilet, recite this supplication: O Allah! I seek Your protection from filth, impurity, evil-natured, and the accursed devil who whispers.
