Hadith 9998
٩٩٩٨ - حدثنا يعلى قال: حدثنا حجاج بن دينار عن منصور عن مجاهد عن ابن عباس أنه كره أن ينتصب للهلال، ولكن (يعرض) (١) ويقول: اللَّه أكبر والحمد للَّه الذي (أذهب) (٢) (بهلال) (٣) كذا وكذا وجاء بهلال كذا وكذا (٤).
Hazrat Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with both of them) considered it disliked to stand facing the moon; he would stand with his side towards the moon and would say: All praise is for Allah who took away this month and brought this month.
