ما قالوا في الهلال يرى ما يقالWhat to say when the moon is sighted
Hadith 9997
٩٩٩٧ - حدثنا محمد بن (بشر) (١) قال: حدثنا سعيد عن قتادة: أن النبي ﷺ كان إذا رأى هلالا قال: "هلال خير ورشد، هلال خير ورشد، آمنت بالذي خلقك ⦗١١٧⦘ (ثلاثًا) (٢)، الحمد للَّه الذي أذهب بشهر كذا وكذا" (٣).
It is narrated from Hazrat Qatadah that when the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) saw the moon, he recited these words three times: "This is a moon of goodness and guidance, this is a moon of goodness and guidance, I believe in the Lord who created you." Then he said, "All praise is due to Allah who has brought this month."
