ما قالوا في الوصال في الصيام من نهى عنهThose who forbade continuous fasting (sawm al-wisal)
Hadith 9847
٩٨٤٧ - حدثنا ابن علية عن خالد الحذاء عن أبي قلابة أن النبي ﷺ (نهاهم) (١) عن الوصال فقالوا: يا رسول اللَّه إنك تواصل فقال: "إني لست مثلكم إني أبيت يطعمني ربي ويسقيني (فإن أبيتم فمن السحر إلى السحر) (٢) " (٣).
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Qalabah that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, forbade continuous fasting (Saum Wisal). The companions said, "O Messenger of Allah! You also observe continuous fasting?" He replied, "I am not like you. When I spend the night, my Lord feeds me and gives me drink. If you must observe continuous fasting, then do so from one pre-dawn meal (suhoor) to the next."
