Hadith 9657
٩٦٥٧ - حدثنا شبابة عن ليث عن بكير بن الأشج عن عبد الملك بن سعيد الأنصاري عن جابر بن عبد اللَّه عن عمر بن الخطاب قال: هششت إلى المرأة فقبلتها وأنا صائم قال: فقال رسول اللَّه ﷺ: "أرأيت لو تمضمضت (بماء) (١) ⦗٣٢⦘ وأنت صائم"، قال: قلت: لا بأس قال: " (ففيم) (٢) " (٣).
Hazrat Jabir bin Abdullah narrates that Hazrat Umar bin Khattab said, "O Messenger of Allah! I could not restrain myself upon seeing my wife and I kissed her while I was fasting. What should I do now?" The Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "Can you rinse your mouth while fasting?" Hazrat Umar replied, "Yes, there is no harm in that." The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "Then what harm is there in kissing your wife?"
