Hadith 9268
٩٢٦٨ - حدثنا أبو الأحوص عن منصور عن ربعي عن رجل من أصحاب النبي ﷺ (قال: قال) (١) رسول اللَّه ﷺ: "لا تقدُمُوا الشهر إلا أن تروا الهلال أو تكملوا العدة، ولا تفطروا حتى تروا الهلال أو تكملوا العِدَّة" (٢).
A companion narrates that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: Do not fast before the arrival of Ramadan until you see the moon or complete thirty days of Sha'ban. Do not celebrate Eid until you see the moon or complete thirty days of fasting.
