Hadith 9206
٩٢٠٦ - حدثنا غندر عن شعبة عن محمد بن عبد الرحمن بن (سعد) (١) عن ⦗٤٨٦⦘ محمد بن عمرو (بن) (٢) الحسن عن جابر بن عبد اللَّه قال: كان رسول اللَّه ﷺ في سفر فرأى رجلًا قد اجتمع (الناس عليه) (٣) وقد ظلل عليه فقال: ما له؟ قالوا: رجل صائم، فقال رسول اللَّه ﷺ: "ليس من البر أن تصوموا في السفر" (٤).
Hazrat Jabir bin Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) was on a journey, and during that journey, he saw a man around whom people had gathered. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) asked, "What has happened to him?" The people replied, "He is fasting." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "Fasting while on a journey is not righteousness."
