Hadith 9194
٩١٩٤ - حدثنا أبو معاوية عن الأعمش عن إبراهيم عن علقمة قال: أتي عبد اللَّه بجفنة فقال للقوم: ادنوا فكلوا، فاعتزل رجل منهم فقال له عبد اللَّه: ما ⦗٤٨٣⦘ لك؟ قال: إني صائم، (فقال) (١) عبد اللَّه: (هذا) (٢) والذي لا إله غيره حين (حل) (٣) الطعام لآكل (٤).
Hazrat Alqama narrates that a food dish was brought to Hazrat Abdullah. He said to the people, "Come and eat." Everyone came except for one man who stayed behind. Hazrat Abdullah asked him the reason, and he replied, "I am fasting." Hazrat Abdullah said, "By Him besides whom there is no deity, this is the time when food becomes lawful for the fasting person."
