Hadith 9116
٩١١٦ - حدثنا هشيم قال: أخبرنا (مجالد) (١) عن الشعبي عن علي أنه كان يخطب إذا (حضر) (٢) رمضان يقول: هذا الشهر المبارك (الذي) (٣) افترض اللَّه ⦗٤٦٠⦘ عليكم صيامه ولم يفترض عليكم قيامه (٤).
Hazrat Sha'bi narrates that when the month of Ramadan would arrive, Hazrat Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) would deliver a sermon and say: This is the blessed month in which Allah Almighty has made fasting obligatory, but has not made standing (in prayer) obligatory.
