Hadith 9111
٩١١١ - (قال) (١) حدثنا عبد اللَّه بن محمد بن أبي شيبة قال: حدثنا معتمر بن سليمان قال: سمعت أيوب يحدث عن أبي قلابة عن أبي هريرة قال: قال نبي اللَّه ﷺ وهو يبشر أصحابه، "قد جاءكلم رمضان شهر مبارك افترض عليكم صيامه (تفتح) (٢) فيه أبواب الجنة [و (تغلق) (٣) فيه أبواب الجحيم وتغل فيه الشياطين فيه ليلة القدر خير من ألف (شهر) (٤) من حرم خيرها فقد حرم" (٥).
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira that the Noble Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, gave glad tidings of Ramadan to his companions, saying: The month of Ramadan has come upon you, which is a blessed month. Fasting in it has been made obligatory upon you. In it, the gates of Paradise are opened and the gates of Hell are closed. In it, the devils are chained. In this month, there is a night which is better than a thousand months; whoever is deprived of its goodness is truly deprived.
