Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah

Hazrat Umm Salamah narrates that once Hazrat Umm Sulaim came to the service of the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and asked, "If a woman sees in her dream what a man sees, what should she do?" The Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "If she sees water, she should perform ghusl (ritual bath)." I said to Umm Sulaim, "You have disgraced women; does a woman also have a wet dream?" The Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said, "May you be bereft! Then why does the child resemble the mother?"
