٨٧٧٩ - حدثنا مالك وعفان (قالا) (١): ثنا حماد بن زيد عن شعيب بن الحبحاب أن أبا العالية كان يكره الجمل التي تكتب في المصاحف فاتحة، وخاتمة وقال: جردوا القرآن.
Hazrat Abu Al-Aaliyah considered it undesirable that some phrases be written at the beginning and end of the manuscripts of the Qur'an. He used to say: "Keep the Qur'an free from anything other than the Qur'an."
