Hadith 8689
٨٦٨٩ - حدثنا علي بن هاشم عن ابن أبي ليلى عن صدقة عن ابن عمر عن النبي ﷺ قال: "إن المصلي إذا صلى يناجي ريه فليعلم أحدكم (بما) (١) يناجيه ولا (يجهر) (٢) بعضكم على بعض" (٣).
It is narrated from Hazrat Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: When a person performs prayer, he is conversing with his Lord, so each of you should know whom he is conversing with. Therefore, do not raise your voice in prayer as you do in mutual conversation among yourselves.
