Hadith 8674
٨٦٧٤ - حدثنا سهل بن يوسف عن حميد عن أنس قال: سئل هل كان رسول اللَّه ﷺ يرفع يديه؟ فقال: نعم شكى إليه الناس ذات جمعة (فقالوا) (١) يا رسول اللَّه قحط المطر وأجدبت الأرض وهلك المال قال: فرفع يديه ودعا حتى رأيت (بياض) (٢) أبطيه (٣).
Hazrat Anas was asked whether the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) used to raise his hands. He said, "Yes, once on a Friday, people came to him complaining about drought and said, 'O Messenger of Allah! There is no rain, the land has become barren, and wealth has been destroyed.' He raised his hands and prayed. On that occasion, I could even see the whiteness of his armpits."
