Hadith 8530
٨٥٣٠ - حدثنا هشيم قال: أخبرنا يونس عن الحسن عن أبي بكرة قال: انكسفت الشمس (أو) (١) القمر على عهد رسول اللَّه ﷺ فقال: "إن الشمس والقمر آيتان من آيات اللَّه لا ينكسفان لموت أحد من الناس فإذا كان (ذلك) (٢) فصلوا حتى تنجلي" (٣).
Hazrat Abu Bakrah narrates that during the time of the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), when the sun or the moon was eclipsed, he said: The sun and the moon are signs of Allah; they are not eclipsed because of anyone’s death. When you see them eclipsed, perform prayer until they become bright again.
