Hadith 8450
٨٤٥٠ - حدثنا وكيع قال: ثنا داود بن قيس الفراء عن صالح (١) مولى التوأمة عن ابن عباس قال: جمع رسول اللَّه ﷺ بين الظهر والعصر والمغرب والعشاء في المدينة في غير خوف ولا مطر، قال: (فقيل) (٢) لابن عباس: لم فعل ذلك؟ قال: أراد التوسعة على أمته (٣).
Hazrat Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) combined the prayers of Zuhr and Asr, and Maghrib and Isha in Madinah without any fear or rain. Hazrat Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) was asked why the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) did this. He replied that it was for the ease of the Ummah.
