Hadith 8340
٨٣٤٠ - حدثنا غندر عن شعبة عن يحيى بن (يزيد) (١) الهنائي قال: سألت أنس ابن مالك عن قصر الصلاة فقال: كان رسول اللَّه ﷺ إذا خرج مسيرة ثلاثة أميال أو ثلاثة فراسخ -شعبة (٢) (الشاك) (٣) - صلى ركعتين (٤).
Hazrat Yahya bin Yazid Hanai says that I asked Hazrat Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) about shortening the prayer (Qasr). He replied that when the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) traveled a distance of three miles or three farsakh, he would shorten the prayer.
