Hadith 8291
٨٢٩١ - حدثنا وكيع عن سفيان عن عبد اللَّه بن أبي لبيد عن أبي سلمة بن عبد الرحمن عن ابن عمر قال: قال رسول اللَّه ﷺ: "لا تغلبنكم الأعراب على اسم صلاتكم العشاء، فإنما هي في كتاب اللَّه العشاء، وإنما يعتم (بحلاب) (١) الإبل" (٢).
Hazrat Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them) narrates that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: The Bedouins should not prevail over you in the names of the prayers. The name of this prayer in the Book of Allah is 'Isha.' It is called 'Atamah' because at that time (after the disappearance of twilight) the villagers milk their camels.
