Hadith 8021
٨٠٢١ - حدثنا وكيع قال: ثنا (شعبة) (١) عن عمرو بن مرة عن ابن أبي ليلى قال: لم يخبرنا أحد من الناس أن النبي ﷺ صلى الضحى إلا أم هانئ فإنها قالت: دخل رسول اللَّه ﷺ بيتي يوم فتح مكة فاغتسل ثم صلى ثماني ركعات يخفف فيهن الركوع والسجود لم أره صلاهن قبل يومئذ ولا بعده (٢).
Hazrat Ibn Abi Laila narrates that except for Hazrat Umm Hani, no one informed us about the Duha (forenoon) prayer of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). She states that on the day of the conquest of Makkah, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) came to my house, performed ghusl (ritual bath), and then offered eight rak‘ahs of Duha prayer. In these rak‘ahs, he kept the bowing and prostration brief. I have never seen him perform that prayer before or after that day.
