Hadith 8009
٨٠٠٩ - حدثنا وكيع قال: ثنا محمد بن شريك عن ابن أبي مليكة عن ابن عباس أنه سئل عن صلاة الضحى فقال: إنها لفي كتاب اللَّه ولا (يغوص) (١) (عليها) (٢) إلا غواص ثم قرأ: ﴿فِي بُيُوتٍ أَذِنَ اللَّهُ أَنْ تُرْفَعَ وَيُذْكَرَ فِيهَا اسْمُهُ يُسَبِّحُ لَهُ فِيهَا بِالْغُدُوِّ وَالْآصَالِ﴾ [النور: ٣٦] (٣).
Hazrat Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with both of them) was asked about the Duha (forenoon) prayer, so he replied that its mention is also in the Holy Qur'an. But only one who reflects and ponders can reach it. Allah Almighty says: "In houses which Allah has ordered to be exalted and that His name be remembered therein, there glorify Him in the mornings and the evenings."
