Hadith 7930
٧٩٣٠ - حدثنا قطن بن عبد اللَّه أبو (مري) (١) عن نصر المعلم قال: حدثني عمر ابن عثمان قال: سألت الحسن (فقلت) (٢): يا أبا سعيد يجيء رمضان أو يحضر رمضان فيقوم الناس في المساجد فما ترى؟ أقوم مع الناس أو أصلي أنا لنفسي؟ قال: تكون أنت تفوه (بالقرآن) (٣) أحب إلي من أن يفاه عليك به.
Hazrat Umar bin Uthman says that I asked Hasan, "O Abu Saeed! In Ramadan, people perform Tarawih prayers. What do you think: should I pray with the people or alone?" He replied, "You should recite the Quran yourself; this is more preferable to me than someone else reciting the Quran to you."
