Hadith 7915
٧٩١٥ - حدثنا وكيع عن (نصر بن) (١) علي عن نضر بن شيبان قال: سألت أبا سلمة بن عبد الرحمن فذكر عن أبيه قال: قال رسول اللَّه ﷺ: "إن اللَّه أفترض عليكم صيامه (وسننت) (٢) لكم قيامه، فمن صامه إيمانا واحتسابا غفر له ما تقدم من ذنبه" (٣).
Hazrat Abu Salamah bin Abdur Rahman narrates from his father that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said: Allah Almighty has made fasting in Ramadan obligatory upon you and has declared standing (in prayer) during it as Sunnah. Whoever fasts in Ramadan with faith and hoping for reward from Allah, all his previous sins are forgiven.
