Hadith 7650
٧٦٥٠ - حدثنا ابن علية عن القاسم بن مهران عن أبي رافع عن أبي هريرة أن رسول اللَّه ﷺ رأى نخامة في قبلة المسجد، فأقبل على الناس بوجهه فقال: "ما بال أحدكم يقوم مستقبل ربه فيتنخع (أمامه؛ أيحب أحدكم أن يستقبل، ⦗٩٧⦘ فيتنخع) (١) في وجهه (٢)، إذا (تنخع) (٣) أحدكم (فليتنخع) (٤) عن يساره أو تحت (قدمه) (٥)، فإن لم يجد (فليقل) (٦) هكذا في ثوبه"، ثم أرانا إسماعيل أنه يبزق في ثوبه ثم يدلكه (٧).
It is narrated from Hazrat Abu Huraira that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) saw spit in the direction of the qiblah in the mosque, so he turned towards the people and said: What is the matter with those people who stand facing their Lord and then spit in front of Him? Would any of you like that someone spits facing him? If someone must spit, he should spit under his left foot or to his left side. If he is in a hurry, he should spit into his garment. After saying this, the narrator Ismail spat into his garment and rubbed it to show.
