Hadith 7542
٧٥٤٢ - حدثنا غندر عن شعبة عن يعلى بن عطاء عن يزيد بن طلق عن عبد الرحمن بن (البيلماني) (١) عن عمرو بن (عبسة) (٢) قال: قلت يا رسول اللَّه هل من ساعة أقرب إلى اللَّه من ساعة فقال: نعم جوف الليل فصل ما بدا لك حتى تصلي الصبح، ثم (انهه) (٣) حتى تطلع الشمس وما دامت كأنها (عجفة) (٤) حتى تنتشر ثم صل ما بدا لك حتى [يقوم العمود على ظله، ثم انهه حتى تزول الشمس فإن جهنم (تسجر) (٥) نصف النهار ثم صل ما بدا لك حتى] (٦) تصلي العصر ثم انهه حتى تغرب الشمس فإنها تطلع بين قرني شيطان وتغرب بين قرني شيطان (٧).
Hazrat Amr bin Abasah narrates that I asked the Prophet (peace be upon him): "Which moment is the most beloved to Allah Almighty?" He replied: "The last part of the night. You may pray as much as you wish from that time until the Fajr prayer. Then, after the sun rises, refrain from prayer until the sun becomes like a small bow. When it is fully risen, you may pray. Then you may pray until the shadow of the sun becomes completely straight. From that time until the decline of the sun, refrain from prayer, because at midday Hell is kindled. Then, until the Asr prayer, you may continue to pray as you wish. After performing Asr, refrain from prayer until Maghrib, because the sun rises and sets between the two horns of Satan."
