Hadith 6825
٦٨٢٥ - حدثنا سهل بن يوسف عن حميد عن أنس قال: كان النعمان بن مقرن على جند أهل الكوفة، وأبو موسى الأشعري على جند (أهل) (١) البصرة، وكنت بينهما فاتعدا أن يلتقيا (عندي) (٢) (غدوة) (٣) فصلى أحدهما صلاة (الغداة) (٤) بأصحابه ثم جاء وأنا أصلي فصلى معي (٥).
Hazrat Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that Nu’man bin Muqarrin was the commander of the army of the people of Kufa, and Abu Musa Ash’ari was the commander of the army of the people of Basra. I was between the two of them. Both of them fixed a time with me. In the morning, both of them gathered with me. One of them led his companions in the Fajr prayer, and when they came to me, I was leading the prayer. They came and prayed with me as well.
