Hadith 6549
٦٥٤٩ - حدثنا وكيع قال: حدثنا مسعر عن زيد (١) العمي عن أبي الصديق الناجي قال: رأى ابن عمر قومًا اضطجعوا بعد ركعتي الفجر فأرسل إليهم ⦗٣٩٦⦘ فنهاهم فقالوا: (نريد) (٢) بذلك السنة، فقال ابن عمر: ارجع إليهم فأخبرهم أنها بدعة (٣).
Hazrat Abu Sadiq Naji reports that Hazrat Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them) saw some people lying down after performing the two Sunnah rak'ahs of Fajr. He sent a man to forbid them from this, so they said, "We only wish to act upon the Sunnah." Hazrat Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them) said, "This is an innovation (bid'ah)."
