Musannaf Ibn Abi Shaybah
أول العيدينThe First of the Two Eids
من قال: ليس في العيدين أذان ولا إقامةThose who say there is no adhan or iqamah for Eid prayers
Hadith 5777
٥٧٧٧ - حدثنا وكيع (عن سفيان) (١) عن عبد الرحمن بن عابس عن ابن عباس أن النبي ﷺ صلّى بهم يوم العيد عند دار كثير بن الصلت فصلّى قبل الخطبة ولم يذكر (أذانًا) (٢) ولا إقامة (٣).
Hazrat Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with both of them) said that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) led the people in the Eid prayer at the house of Kathir bin As-Salt, in which he performed the prayer before the sermon. Hazrat Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with both of them) did not mention the call to prayer (adhan) or the commencement (iqamah).
