Hadith 549
٥٤٩ - حدثنا إسماعيل بن علية عن ابن عون عن ابن سيرين قال: (أتيت عبيدة، فأمر بشاة فذبحت، فدعا بخبز ولبن وسمن، فأكلنا، ثم قام فصلى ولم يتوضأ؛ فظننت أنه كان أحب إليه أن يتوضأ لولا أنه أراد أن يريني (أنه) (١) ليس به بأس.
Hazrat Ibn Sirin narrates that I went to Hazrat Ubaidah. He ordered a goat to be slaughtered, the goat was slaughtered, then he asked for bread, milk, and fat. We ate everything, then he performed the prayer without performing ablution. I used to think that he preferred to perform ablution, but perhaps he wanted to show that there is no harm in not performing ablution.
