من (قال: إذا) أدرك ركعة من الجمعة (صلى إليها أخرىThose who say that if someone catches one rak'ah of Jumu'ah, he should add another rak'ah
Hadith 5444
٥٤٤٤ - [حدثنا هشيم قال: (حدثنا) (١) إسماعيل بن سالم قال: سمعت الشعبي يقول: من أدرك الخطبة فهي الجمعة، ومن أدرك ركعتين فهي الجمعة، ومن ⦗١٣٩⦘ أدرك ركعة فقد أدرك الجمعة فليصل ركعة أخرى، ومن لم يدرك الركوع فليصل أربعا] (٢).
Hazrat Sha'bi says that whoever catches the sermon has attained Jumu'ah, and whoever catches two rak'ahs has also attained Jumu'ah, and whoever catches one rak'ah has also attained Jumu'ah and should add one more rak'ah to it. And whoever does not catch even one rak'ah should perform four rak'ahs of prayer.
