Hadith 529
٥٢٩ - حدثنا وكيع قال: حدثنا سفيان قال: حدثنا أبو عون عن عبد اللَّه بن شداد قال: سمعت أبا هريرة يحدث مروان: قال توضأ مما مست النار، فأرسل مروان إلى أم سلمة، (يسألها) (١) فقالت: نهش رسول اللَّه ﷺ عندي كتفا، ثم خرج إلى الصلاة ولم يمس ماء (٢).
Hazrat Abdullah bin Shaddad narrates that Hazrat Abu Hurairah told Marwan this hadith: After eating something cooked on fire, perform ablution. Marwan sent a message to Hazrat Umm Salamah to ask about this issue, so she replied, "Once the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) ate shoulder meat in my house, then went to pray and did not even touch water."
