Hadith 4650
٤٦٥٠ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال (حدثنا) (١) ابن فضيل (عن خصيف) (٢) عن مجاهد قال: كان ابن عمر إذا دخل بيتا فرأى في قبلة المسجد مصحفا أو شبهه أخذه فرمى به وإن كان عن يمينه أو شماله تركه (٣).
Hazrat Mujahid states that whenever Hazrat Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) entered a room and saw the Holy Qur'an or something similar facing the Qiblah, he would remove it from there. If the Holy Qur'an was on his right or left side, he would leave it as it was.
