Hadith 4573
٤٥٧٣ - حدثنا أبو بكر قال (حدثنا) (١) حفص عن أشعث عن عطاء قال: صلى ابن الزبير فسلم في ركعتين ثم قام إلى الحجر فاستلمه فسبح (به) (٢) القوم فرجع (فأتم) (٣) وسجد سجدتين قال: فذكرت ذلك لابن عباس فقال: للَّه أبوه، ما أماط عن سنة نبيه (٤).
Hazrat Ata narrates that Hazrat Ibn Zubair led the prayer and after completing two rak‘ahs, he ended the prayer with salam. Then he went to the Hajar Aswad and performed its istilam. When the people recited tasbih, he returned and performed two prostrations. Ata says that I mentioned this to Hazrat Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them), so he said: How excellent is Ibn Zubair! He did not deviate from the Sunnah of his Prophet.
